Wrexham make incredible move for former Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen

Wrexham have made an ambitious move toward to sign former Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen.

Wrexham, who were recently promoted to the Championship, have since gone on to sign two new midfielders this summer, with the latest being Lewis O’Brien.

However, manager Phil Parkinson and his team sense like it is not enough for England’s second division, which can be ruthless for promoted sides.

 Wrexham remain in the market for new talent, and the Daily Mail have now reported that the club have moved toward Eriksen, who left Manchester United this summer.

Eriksen’s representative Martin Schoots confirmed to Mail Sport that the project looks enticing in what could be one of the biggest transfers of the summer.

 “Wrexham are really upgrading everything both on and off the field, and it is a hugely impressive project, as you can see from the presence of people like Michael Williamson there.

 “But Christian still wants to play in a first-tier competition and he absolutely wants to stay in Western Europe.

There are some contacts going on but it has to suit both sides.

” The 33-year-old was regarded as one of the best midfielders in world at his peak, and Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney recognise that he would not only hand over quality to the side, but also a lot more attention.

However, clubs from Saudi Arabia, the United States, Turkey and Brazil are also interested in what is a race for the Danish international who has his pick of a number of clubs.
