Top clubs set sights on son of Klaas-Jan Huntelaar following Vitesse collapse

Several top Dutch clubs are reportedly after Vitesse talent Seb Huntelaar, son of Dutch icon Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, after the Arnhem club collapsed last week.

The fall of Vitesse from the professional ranks in the Netherlands is beginning to show its consequences.

Last Thursday, the club stated that players can submit a request to terminate their contract and sign for another club.

Cases like Jim Koller, the 18-year-old midfielder who had a 500,000 euro offer rejected in the past, will now leave for PSV at zero cost.

A different case is that of Seb Huntelaar.

The 16-year-old striker, son of Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, a former Real Madrid and Ajax forward, is one of many Vitesse youth players who are being coveted.

However, the Dutch FA won't allow him to leave, as the Arnhem club wants to keep the academy, and the player market for youngsters has already closed.

The only way for youngsters to leave is by special authorisation, and that's what many parents and agents are working on.

According to De Teletraaf, Huntelaar is wanted by Ajax, PSV, and FC Utrecht.
