Superliga Review: FCM and Brondby boost confidence ahead of crucial European weeks

FC Midtjylland and Brondby boosted their confidence with important wins against Vejle and Randers, respectively, in the Danish Superliga before their crucial Europa League and Conference League playoff round ties in the upcoming week.

Finally, Silkeborg restored a bit of morale during an otherwise very disappointing season start when they recorded a last-gasp win in Viborg.

But the visitors grabbed the initiative from the start and headed in for the interval with a two-goal lead thanks to goals from Filip Bundgaard og Stijn Spierings after an impressive display during the first 45 minutes.

Randers lacked pace in their build-up play and struggled to find solutions against a well-organized Brondby rearguard, who will surely be more challenged on Thursday against Strasbourg.
