Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner has stated strong belief that the club will win their ongoing request and be granted a place in next season's Europa League, following UEFA's initial ruling.
The FA Cup winners are hoping to overturn UEFA’s initial ruling that banned them from competing in next season’s Europa League.
Palace’s request will be listened in Lausanne on Friday (August 8th), with the decision anticipated to be revealed the following Monday (August 11th)Glasner is confident their request with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) will move in their favour and UEFA’s decision to demote them to the Conference League for breaking multiclub ownership rules will be dismissed.
"We don’t have any influence on the decision from UEFA, we don’t have any influence on the decision from Cas, so it just makes no sense that we’re thinking over it,” Glasner told Sky on Tuesday.
“We concentrate on what we have to do on the pitch, how to create this spirit in the group, this togetherness, this commitment, and this is what we are doing day by day.
“We’re waiting for the final decision, we’re still confident that the request will be successful and that we will play in the Europa League.
But in the terminate, on 11 August, we will know the final decision – then we will start to prepare for Europe.
