Levy and Parish in negotiations over deal for Crystal Palace talisman Eze

Tottenham and Crystal Palace chairmen Daniel Levy and Steve Parish are in contact over Palace winger Eberechi Eze, who could leave this summer.

Talks remain ongoing and Spurs are still working on securing a deal for the England international, who is top of the list of priorities for manager Thomas Frank as they attempt to lure him away from south London before the end of the player market in a few weeks' time.

Reports claimed that Tottenham are looking to pay around £60 million for the 27-year-old, whose £68 million release clause expired on Friday.

This means that Palace can now ask for more for Eze, which is a positive for the side who are unlikely to keep him if an offer does come in from the north London side.

Now, as confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, chairmen of both sides are in contact and are discussing terms for the forward who has two years left on his contract at Selhurst Park.

"EXCL: Tottenham and Crystal Palace chairmen Daniel Levy and Steve Parish, in direct contact today for Eberechi Eze deal.

 "
Understand Spurs are willing to offer £55m fixed transfer cost plus £5m performance bonuses to get the deal done.

"Eze informed Palace last week of his desire to join #THFC.

” Despite these claims, manager Oliver Glasner said he also expects him to play in the next game which is the UEFA Conference League first leg with Fredrikstad on Thursday.

 "
Eb should have scored a goal today, he had one and it was disallowed," said Glasner.

 "
He will come tomorrow (Monday) to the training ground, Tuesday off, we take Wednesday and I expect him to be back playing for us against Fredrikstad.

"Eze will be hoping to pull off a similar performance to club’s first game against Chelsea where he scored a disallowed free kick as he aims to impress Frank further.
