FC Groningen have reportedly accepted a final bid from Feyenoord for talented midfielder Luciano Valente.
Feyenoord have chased Valente for longer, and the midfielder made his desire to leave Groningen for the 16-time Dutch champions known early on.
Early bids for the Dutch U21 international were rejected by Groningen, which desired a fee in the eight-figure range.
According to several Dutch sources, FC Groningen have accepted an offer of around €7 million for Valente, who'll finally have his way with a transfer to a top club.
According to RTV Rijnmond's Dennis Kranenburg, Valente will sign a four-year contract in Rotterdam.
FC Groningen have negotiated a 12.
5% sell-on clause, securing the club extra funds with a future transfer of the 21-year-old creative midfielder.
The Italian-Dutch Valente debuted for the Pride of the North in August 2022, in a 6-1 loss away at Ajax.
The Dutch youth international, who started in four games at this year's U21 Euros, has played 94 games for FC Groningen, scoring 10 goals in the process.
Last season, Valente scored two goals and provided seven assists in 32 Eredivisie games.
At Feyenoord, Valente will join a packed midfield with Eredivisie top scorer Sem Steijn, Netherlands international Quinten Timber, Hwang-In Beom, Jakub Moder, Calvin Stengs, Oussama Targhalline, Ramiz Zerrouki, and Kevin Nadje.
