EXCLUSIVE: Juventus facing summer frustration after failing to ship off several players

Juventus are facing up to a summer of frustration as their transfer activity grinds to a halt, with key departures failing to materialise and incoming targets slipping further from reach.

The Turin club had anticipated that a handful of high-profile exits would pave the way for a squad refresh.

Instead, they have been left battling market realities that have blocked their ambitions.

The most significant departure was expected to be Dusan Vlahovic, with Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho earmarked as a marquee arrival.

Yet, according to sources nearing the club, progress on both fronts has stalled, leaving judgment-makers increasingly concerned.

Vlahovic’s situation has been a lingering issue.

Juventus have prioritised finding a way to transfer him on, with no plans to extend his contract.

However, his substantial wages have deterred potential buyers - even those with Premier League spending power.

The Serbian striker has been widely offered to English clubs, with Newcastle United identified as a possible destination recently, but no agreement has been reached.

Sancho’s potential switch to Turin has also been in the works for over two months, but discussions have failed to break the deadlock.

While the winger is underway to the transfer, his salary demands and the prospective transfer transfer cost present hurdles.

Sources now believe Gonzalez may end up remaining in Turin.

The midfield situation offers little relief.

Douglas Luiz is keen to leave, and Juventus are underway to his departure, but they have been unable to secure a buyer so far.

Premier League clubs, including Nottingham Forest, Everton and West Ham, have all been linked, but none have finalised a deal.

If room can be created in midfield, Brighton’s Matt O’Riley is on the club’s candidate list, but that pursuit has also been slow.

For now, Juventus find themselves stuck in transfer limbo.

Without progress on Vlahovic, Luiz or Gonzalez, their hopes of a meaningful summer overhaul are fading - raising the possibility that all three could even still be in black and white next season.
