Club Brugge claim narrow win over RB Salzburg in first leg of Champions League qualifier

Club Brugge put themselves into a strong position to reach the UEFA Champions League (UCL) playoff round after a 1-0 victory at RB Salzburg offered the Belgians an important aggregate lead.

Both teams are regulars in the UCL, and anything other than qualification this summer would undoubtedly be deemed a failure.
