Bosnian Sheffield defender Anel Ahmedhodzic completes move to Feyenoord

Sheffield United defender Anel Ahmedhodzic has completed a permanent transfer to Dutch giants Feyenoord.

The 26-year-old Ahmedhodzic, a Bosnian international, joins Feyenoord on a four-year contract from the Blades, who sold the centre-half for a "significant" fee.

 Voetbal International report that Feyenoord have paid €6.

9 million for Ahmedhodzic.

Ahmedhodzic signed for Sheffield United in the summer of 2022 after completing a move from Swedish giants Malmo.

The 26-time Bosnian international has made a total of 114 appearances, scoring 12 goals in the process.

"Things have moved incredibly quickly in the last few days," Ahmedhodzic said on Feyenoord's club website.

"I couldn't be happier.

Centre-half Gernot Trauner is one of several key players ruled out for Wednesday's Champions League clash.

Feyenoord boss Robin van Persie has already said that there's a "big chance" Ahmedhodzic plays against Fenerbahce.

The third-round qualifier between Feyenoord and Fenerbahce kicks off on Wednesday, August 6th, at 21.
