Antoni Milambo set to join Brentford after Feyenoord accept substantial offer

Feyenoord midfielder Antoni Milambo is reportedly on his way to Premier League side Brentford after the Rotterdam club accepted an offer for the youth international.

Rumours of Brentford trying to lure Milambo to the Premier League have been doing the rounds for longer, as the 20-year-old talent had a breakthrough year at Feyenoord with six goals and six assists in 41 games.

Brentford were the first club to approach Milambo in January and convinced the midfielder of their project.

According to several reliable Dutch reports, Feyenoord have accepted Brentford's latest bid of €20 million for the young midfielder.

Feyenoord will also get €5 million in "gettable" bonuses for the academy product.

Feyenoord were eager to keep Milambo, the youngest player to make his professional debut in Feyenoord history, at the club, but the midfielder felt it was time for a move after four seasons in the first squad.

Milambo said goodbye to his teammates and everyone else at the club on Friday.

The fee of €20 million is the biggest fee the club have ever received for a 20-year-old player.

Milambo leaves Feyenoord after having played 56 matches for the senior squad, in which he scored seven goals.

With Feyenoord, the youngster won the league in 2023, and the KNVB Beker and the Johan Cruyff Shield in 2024.
